After reviewing the approaches of other states’ court systems, the Judiciary embarked on its own feed. Newport County Courthouse, also known as the Murray Judicial Complex, is located at:

The first floor has the clerk’s offices for District Court, Superior Court, and Family Court, as well as the District Courtroom and several private conference rooms and offices. The law library is located on the third floor of the building, along with the Newport office of the Attorney General. The basement has several holding cells, the sheriff’s office, and the police entrance.
